Joaquin Phoenix Joins Miley Cyrus In Public Service Ad

Jan 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop diva Miley Cyrus teamed up with actor Joaquin Phoenix for a public service advertisement to encourage voting for the charity “To Write Love On Her Arms”, which works for suicide prevention. In the video, the stars were also joined by Joaquin Phoenix’s ex-flame Liv Tyler and it went viral on the internet on Friday.
The video shows the “Hannah Montana” star giving lessons to the 35 year old actor about how to use the internet, to log into the online portal of the charity organization and pledge support for the $1 million grant application of the foundation in the Chase Community Giving contest. The actor then uses the lessons and attempts to teach actress Liz Tyler the same. However, Joaquin Phoenix fails to do which results in the 17 year old singer stepping in and teaching how to vote for the charity.
“To Write Love on Her Arms” is a non profit organization which aims to support teenagers who are battling with depression, addiction and suicidal thoughts.Although the voting lines closed on Friday night, the star-studded initiative managed to gather much attention. The video which is a public service advertisement for the charity organization, has managed to grab immense attention as it features the “Walk the Line” actor who has not been seen publicly for almost a year now. The much acclaimed actor had created quite a stir when he appeared on the “Late Night with David Letterman” a year back in which he emphasized that he was giving up his acting in order to pursue career as a rapper.
