Nov 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Legendary folk singer and political activist Joan Baez is in a state of recovery after she fell from her tree house some days back. Reportedly, she had fallen from a 20 feet high treehouse.
The popular folk singer of the sixties had built her treehouse in an 200 year old oak tree, at her Woodside home, in California. According to sources, it has been revealed that the treehouse did not have any wall surrounding it, as a result of which it was easily prone to any kind of accident. This is what exactly happened to the 69 year old singer, who slipped and fell 20 feet on the ground while she was disembarking from her treehouse. Immediately after this accident took place, she was rushed to the Stanford Hospital in an ambulance and treated for the minor injuries that had been caused to her as a result of the fall.
A source said that the singer is very fond of resting herself in the lap of mother nature. Joan Baez herself told that she loves to be amidst nature, which is why she often spends her time in the treehouse. She pronounced that she is fond of climbing the ladder and enjoys handling the ropes and other things. She had apparently gone up on the tree house to indulge in some meditation and writing, as she was searching for a serene and tranquil place to do it. Reportedly all through summer, she sleeps in the treehouse. The singer was seen admitting the fact, saying that it soothes her mind, and she just loves it when in the morning she sees the birds hovering around her head, which marks a perfect start to her day.
