London, Oct 11 (IANS) Ronnie Wood’s children only agreed to reconcile with their father after their mum Jo asked them to forgive him for his affair with Russian girl Ekaterina Ivanova.
The 62-year-old Rolling Stones star walked out on his wife of 23 years in July last year after his romance with Ivanova was revealed. His children with Jo - Leah and Tyrone, as well as her son Jamie from a previous relationship - refused to speak to Wood following the revelations, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“I said to them ‘Come on, he’s your father, you have to make an effort.’ He’s slowly making friends with the kids again but it’s difficult and these things take time. I think maybe he was a bit nervous at first but he shouldn’t be. I’ve forgiven him and I’m not bitter about anything he’s done. Life’s too short to be like that,” Jo told Hello! magazine.

“I would love for Ronnie to be back in our family’s life. So yes, I hope he’ll be able to come over for Sunday lunch and that we’ll all sit down together and talk and laugh and be great friends. I am very open for that,” she added.

Leah Wood recently let her father back into her life following the birth of her first child, Maggie Dylan, in May, but only out of respect for her mother’s wishes.
