‘Jo Dooba So Paar…’ goes to South Asian film fest
September 22nd, 2011 - 4:41 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Sep 22 (IANS) Vinay Pathak’s “Jo Dooba So Paar - It’s Love in Bihar” will be screened in the Spectrum Section of the 2011 South Asian International Film Festival starting Nov 9 in New York.
The festival, which is in its eighth year, features the works of new South Asian filmmakers from all around the world.
“It is a very big platform. I am elated and looking forward to showcase our film at the festival,” director Praveen Kumar told IANS.
The film, which is releasing Oct 14, also stars Anand Tiwari, Rajat Kapoor, Sadia Siddhque, Sita Spada and Pitibash.
Set in Bihar, the dark comedy revolves around Kishu, who falls in love with a foreigner who has come to India for researching Indian culture.
