London, Sep 23 (ANI): Its official! Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Stephen Tyler will be judging the upcoming 10th series of ‘American Idol’.
At a press conference in Los Angeles, presenter of the show, Ryan Seacrest, announced the new line-up, which also includes record producer Randy Jackson.
Simon Cowell quit the programme in May to concentrate on a US version of his show ‘The X Factor’, while comedienne Ellen DeGeneres left in July followed by songwriter Kara DioGuardi who quit earlier this month.
According to People magazine, Lopez will be paid 12 million dollars for her role on the show.
“We’re looking for the next Michael Jackson,” the BBC quoted the ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’ star as saying at the televised press conference.
The singing contest is expected to feature in US television in January 2011. (ANI)
