JK Rowling turns down chance to present award at Oscars
March 4th, 2010 - 7:07 pm ICT by ANILondon, Mar 4 (ANI): It has emerged that Harry Potter author JK Rowling turned down the chance to present an award at the Oscars.
The producers of the Academy Awards wanted to boost the youth appeal at the ceremony on March 7, reports the Daily Star.
So they decided to get Rowling, 44, to appear alongside Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer, 36.
But Rowling was busy and Meyer, who is a Mormon, does not work on Sundays. (ANI)
