jimmyLos Angeles, Sep 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Wednesday night as CBS premiered its reality show “Survivor: Nicaragua”, it was former NFL coach and sports analyst Jimmy Johnson who caught the attention of the viewers. At 67, Jimmy Johnson is the oldest member of the “Survivor: Nicaragua” crew this season. However, the coach whose strategies had brought the NCAA Championship trophy to the University of Miami team once, beamed with enthusiasm and energy as he discussed his game plans and his motives behind joining the reality show.

Jimmy Johnson on Wednesday during the show said to his tribe that he has joined the show to enjoy the adventure that it comes with. He maintained that as long as he is able to get an adventure out of the show, his purpose is served. He added that if he can “get an adventure out of this, it accomplishes what I [he] set out to do, then I’m happy.” However, the former coach of the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins failed to lead his tribe to success in an immunity challenge in the first episode of the show. The challenge needed the Espada tribe to direct buckets of water through gutters. However, he avoided an early elimination by convincing his tribemates that no jury will award him with a “million bucks”. Jimmy Johnson added that he knows very well that he will be a target at every other tribal council to follow.

However, there is no denying the fact that the presence of Jimmy Johnson made the show interesting. The man who showed his displeasure when the two teams were divided according to age and he was joined by members aged above 40, has no doubt much more to show in the coming episodes.
