Aug 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Comedian Jimmy Fallon gave a star studded start to the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards 2010 by spoofing America’s favorite TV show, ‘Glee’, with the ‘Glee’ cast themselves. Jimmy Fallon and the cast members appeared first in a pre-taped segment that opened the night. The dancers along with Jimmy Fallon then emerged on stage to give a spoofy performance and tribute to Bruce Springsteen. Randy Jackson was seen joining Jimmy Fallon on stage during his performance of ‘Born To Run’. Earlier Tim Gunn was seen giving the right look to Jimmy Fallon backstage before the performance.

The pre-taped segment also had some of the TV stars who appeared as themselves and even made a joke of their own media image. Kate Gosselin appeared in her ‘Dancing With The Stars’ avatar and begging the Glee team to include her as well. Jimmy Fallon and his group tactfully avoided her only to find Betty White teaching dance moves to Jon Hamm.

Apart from Jimmy Fallon’s hilarious video the audience at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles were also treated to some hilarious pre-taped segments. In one of them George Clooney was seen with the cast of ‘Modern Family’. The ‘Michael Clayton’ star was seen flirting with the case members of Modern Family as they were seen discussing the details of season 2 of their hit show. Among some of the early winners was Jane Lynch from ‘Glee’ and Eric Stonestreet of ‘Modern Family’. Eric Stonestreet explained that all he wanted to do was become a clown in a circus and then went on to thank the cast and crew of ‘Modern Family’.
