Jimmy Buffet Orange Beach, July 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jimmy Buffet is just as furious as anyone, about the oil spill that has engulfed the States along the Gulf of Mexico. The popular singer has millions of fans and is all set to entertain those who have been drastically affected by the deadly oil spill.

A concert will be held by the singer and his Coral Reefer band at the Gulf Shores, Ala. Beach, which is one of the beaches, which has been the deadliest, hit by the oil spill. Buffett and his band are hoping they can perform the show, which has been postponed in the past due to bad weather.

Buffet earned a name for himself after popular songs like “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and said in a recent interview with Associated Press that he was he was just as mad as anyone about seeing the oil flowing in American beaches. He said only “hypocrites” won’t be angered by the oil spill.

Buffet was born in Mississippi and lived at Alabama as a child. He said he’s always tried to refer to his gulf roots in his music. “If you’re born and raised on the Gulf Coast and it’s kind of in you, and you don’t feel anger and rage initially over what’s going on down there, I think you’re a hypocrite,” he said.
