Jimi Hendrix Remembered With Love On His 40th Death Anniversary

Sep 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This week the 40th death anniversary of Jimi Hendrix, the iconic rock ‘n’ roll star is being celebrated in various places. The musician and songwriter who was born in Seattle has been crowned the biggest guitarist in the history of rock by Rolling Stone Magazine. He passed away in the year 1970 in London which was described as a alcohol and drug related tragedy. He was barely 27 year old when he passed away leaving his fans shocked an stunned. To pay respect to the legendary singer and musician the museums in London as well as those in other cities are exhibiting the artifacts related to him and some special events are also being held.
The Cumberland hotel of Guoman where the musician used to stay in his last days has declared that it will unveil a new suite named after him on the 40th death anniversary of he icon. Jimi Hendrix was a regular visitor to the hotel adjacent to Hyde Park. He gave his final interview to Keith Altham,a press agent and music journalist in this hotel’s fifth-floor Suite just a few days before his shocking demise. The new suite that is going to be unveiled has been designed to inspire the viewers from the time they enter. It has been designed by Mary Gannon, a noted interior designer.
The suite dedicated to the music maestro is going to have psychedelic stylized patterns, flamboyant colors and statement lighting which will represent the time when Jimi Hendrix was a youth icon. Andie Airfix a renowned graphic designer has made a Jimi Hendrix mural that is three meter long. It will be kept as the centerpiece of the room.
