Jim Nantz Hartford, Nov 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz is in a financial soup with respect to his divorce settlement. He will have to pay close to $1 million a year along-with the ownership to a Connecticut colonial mansion in a huge divorce settlement with his ex-wife Lorrie. They had been married for 26 years. The divorce happened due to Jim’s affair with a 29-year-old lass.

According to the court records, the Connecticut judge, in charge of the trial ruled that Jim Nantz, whose annual income is $7 million, will have to pay his ex-wife, Lorrie, $72,000 a month in alimony for the rest of her life, plus $1,000 a week in child support until their 16-year-old daughter turns 23 years of age.

“In fairness, for most of the years he prioritized his family obligation and put his wife and daughter Caroline first. As frequently happens in marriages of lengthy duration, the parties do not have the same interest and ardor for their spouses’ endeavors,” the judge wrote in his decision.

In all this adds up to about $550,000 a year after taxes. “It was an amicable split,” Nantz’s lawyer, Gaetano Ferro, told The Post’s Lukas I. Alpert. “He always wanted a peaceful resolution of an unfortunate situation. He wants to put it behind him.”

“They’re two good people, and as sometimes happens over 26 years, they grew apart,” Ferro said.
