Oct. 13, (THANDIAN NEWS) The list of the world’s unexplained mysteries became a bit longer when the American rock and roll historian Brett Meisner decided to stop by Jim Morrison’s grave and pay homage to the great singer, way back in 1997. As a souvenir, he asked his assistant to take a photo. It was not until years later that he looked at it again and what he saw sent a chill through his spine; in the background of the photo, there was a shadowy image that resembled uncannily the very man by whose grave Meisner was standing by.
It is interesting to note that quite a number of people felt a spiritual connection with Jim Morrison and the photo. Meisner claims that lots of people came up to him saying that the photo was Jim’s way of sending a message. Publicity of the sensational news led to a lot of exposure for the historian, including an appearances on the Biography channel and several radio programs. However, Meisner began to realize that all was not well after a failed marriage and the loss of important clients and a friend’s demise. Ever since, he has been looking for someone who would buy the photo. He hasn’t had any takers, which is not surprising, considering he went as public blaming the snapshot for his misfortunes as he had with the photo itself.
The photo remains a mystery till date. Researchers claim it’s neither a trick of the light nor image manipulation - two of the likeliest explanations. Morrison’s grave is visited by thousands of people every year, but the strange phenomenon has never recurred.

That photo is freaking me out. My only concern is why is the guy in the picture so far to the left. Is it staged?
