Jim Carrey becomes a grandfather

Los Angeles, Feb 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Funnyman Jim Carrey has become a grandfather at the age of 47 years. His daughter Jane Carrey has given birth to her first offspring. Jane and her husband Alex Santana welcomed a baby boy in their family. The arrival of the baby was a tad early, as the expected due date was the 3rd of March 2010.
She said: “I’m excited about it because I never really got along with girls growing up. I was a little afraid that if it was a girl that she would not like me, you know? So I’m very happy about the boy.” Jim Carrey is of the opinion that her daughter Jane will be a great mom. He had reportedly said that, “Jane is going to be a great mom” when he learnt of her pregnancy.
The noted actor’s representative confirmed the news and released a statement which said that Jane Carrey had given birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Friday, February 26 at 12:28 A.M. The parents of the baby have named the child as Jackson Riley Santana. The infant weighs 7 lbs., 11 oz, and is just 20 inches long.
The 22-year-old Jane Carrey, is Jim Carrey and his first wife Melissa Womer’s daughter. Jane and Alex Santana got married in November 2009.
