Dec.04, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Not all models can make it big in the world of showbiz. Some of them have to struggle hard and face various obstacles in their way while the lucky ones can find the shortcut to super-stardom and attain the goal of their career easily. One such example is Jill Nicolini, who is a reporter for WPIX. The model stays in Queens, New York and she is in her early thirties. However, it would be an insult to label her only as a model. She has also donned the hats of actor and reality show participant in her career.

In fact she had to wade through a lot of trials and bumps in her career before she became a darling of the media. She worked as WB11 Morning News traffic reporter way back in 2004. Her early stint with modeling was not much successful but she did not give up. Jill went on to play small roles in some feature films after 2004 and also did some of the famous TV shows like “Sex and the City” and “Law & Order”. These two shows broadcasted in HBO and NBC respectively brought her the attention she always craved for.

However, she created a sensation when she appeared for the cover of erotic magazine Playboy using a pseudonym. This led to her dismissal from Miss New York pageant. She also had to give up the position of Miss Long Island. Her affair with Anthony Cumia, that did not last long owing to the latter’s infidelity, also created much controversy in media circles. She was also linked with Joseph Di Virgilio at one point of time.
