Los Angeles, Dec 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 29-year-old divorcee Jessica Simpson wants to design wedding rings. According to sources, she wants to design them in association with the celebrity jeweler Pascal Mouawad. She hopes to bring out a jewelry line with him, which will also feature wedding rings designed by her.

However the famed jeweler Pascal Mouawad isn’t so keen on the idea at all. He thinks that Jessica Simpson who is divorced from singer Nick Lachey isn’t at all the right person to design the wedding rings. He wants to work with her for sure, but he isn’t too keen on the wedding rings angle of the partnership.

Pascal Mouawad is no stranger to designing and collaborating with pretty faces. In the past too, he has worked with Nicole Richie, where the both of them came out with the ‘House of Harlow’ jewelry line, which was a hit in its own way. Then he had also collaborated with super model Heidi Klum on her jewelry line, which was also a stupendous success.

When she was barely 22, then she married singer Nick on October 26, 2002. She famously announced she had remained a virgin until her marriage. In November 2005, after months of separation rumors, Simpson and Lachey announced they were separating. And then Simpson filed for divorce on December 16, 2005, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple’s divorce was publicized worldwide and was reportedly finalized on June 30, 2006.

Simpson told Jane magazine in October 2006 that she knew her marriage to Lachey was over when he refused to join her on a charity trip to Africa, even though it was on their third wedding anniversary.
