June 17, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Rumors are an integral part of most of the celebrities. They can neither avoid them nor can go with them. The latest target of it is the 29 year old reality TV star and singer Jessica Simpson.

Recently, Jessica was rumored to have gone through a plastic surgery. On June 14, she was reportedly seen leaving the medical facility. The rumor started from there and the message spread that Simpson was there to consult a plastic surgeon.

But, unlike other celebrities, she was very quick to react on the rumor. On her twitter page, Jessica wrote, “Yes, it’s true; I visited the doctor yesterday but not for plastic surgery.” She said, it was just a routine check-up.

Jessica has been under the media limelight since the time she separated publicly from Nick Lachey. Media highlighted her ‘weight’ issue and even a photo of her at a Florida concert was published, where the singer was wearing an unappealing high-waisted jeans. All these were done just to indicate that how fat she looked. The thin obsessed Hollywood lovers criticized her weight.

Simpson confronted them and said, “People must have thought that I would become anorexic with all those criticisms but I have rather decided to eat more and enjoy life.” She added, “The obsession of America with weight is really ‘disgusting’.”

Simpson is now seen in the reality show ‘The Price of Beauty’, which is telecast on VH1. She has travelled all over word to educate herself and the public about the drastic steps that some women in different cultures, take, to look beautiful.
