London, June 25 (ANI): Actress Jessica Alba has been successful in convincing a Chinese girl not to go for a painful operation to make herself look more like the actress.

Alba stopped 21-year-old, Xiaoqing, who was willing to transform her looks to win back her former boyfriend, after surgeons in Shanghai offered to perform the surgery for free.

“I think you should never have to change yourself like that. If somebody loves you, they’ll love you no matter what,” Alba told the girl.

And Alba’s appeal has worked - Xiaoqing has decided against surgery, and has thanked the Sin City star for making her change her mind.

“I think it’s great that Jessica is so concerned about me. Her words also played an important role in my decision,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
