dert1 May 12, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): MTV’s reality television series, Jersey Shore, will be substituting the complete cast for its third season. The show that tracks eight housemates spending their summer on the New Jersey Shore will commence its second season shortly. It has been mentioned that the second season will consist of fresh additions to the original cast, but the third season will have fresh members entirely.

Latest information has corroborated that all the existing members of the cast have demanded a massive augmentation in imbursement, which the channel is not prepared to do. The channel did not substitute anyone in the second season because all embraced their payments, which was a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode, which add up to $70,000 per season.

The cast asserted that they needed a monetary increase for the third season and the network consented to shell out $10,000 per episode for each cast member. This was not endorsed by the cast members, who considered that their economic value was far higher than that. They stubbornly stuck to their demands.

However, the channel is prepared to have room for those, who consent to work on existing payrolls. Therefore, a few celebrities might be back for season 3 but it is being conjectured that Pauly D and The Situation won’t be there for the third season.

The season 1 of the show was an enormously successful series and it was watched by many 12-34 year olds. It had a 2.6 rating.
