July 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): It has come to the notice of the media and tabloids that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi along with her co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley; the stars of the popular “Jersey Shore” have been sued by a woman from Chicago. She has sued the girls on the grounds of them attacking her at a night club situated in Miami. She further adds that she was attacked after she went ahead and talked to the male members of the cast according to the New York Post.

The woman is identified as Carrie Malec and her lawyer has also accused MTV, the iconic music and lifestyle channel as well as the parent company Viacom. He said that the companies make a neat profit from a variety of criminal activities of its employees. It has come in the spotlight that there have been similar cases before with a minimum of two similar lawsuits having been filed. These lawsuits have been filed against the ‘fist-fighting’ members of the cast. The earlier accusations have been more straight-forward and both Viacom as well as MTV were accused of illicit racketeering.

A New Jersey based judge has let one of these cases proceed on legal grounds.

Malec now wants a sum of $75,000 for causing mental anguish and physical harm. She also has expressed her wish of not broadcasting the footage of the fight that’s included in Jersey Shore Season Two. The second edition airs on the 29th of July. Now, whether Malec wins the lawsuit or not is a matter that can only be told with time.
