Dec 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Despite repeated attempts by most of the star cast of MTV reality show ‘Jersey Shore’ to land their very own spin-off show, ultimately lady luck is smiling at none other than the Rhode Island DJ Pauly D whose real name is Paul DelVecchio. The news was announced by MTV on Wednesday that it has inked a deal with the ‘Jersey Shore’ star to start a brand new show featuring him that would take a closer look at his life beyond the Seaside Heights. Although a specific air date has not been confirmed, it has been revealed that the show would air next year.

While talking about the reason which prompted the network to select Pauly D as the star of the spin-off show, Chris Linn who is MTV’s executive vice president of programming and head of production said that the 30-year-old Rhode Island native has been successful in distinguishing himself as a fun-loving, dependable as well as well-coiffed guy on the show who you want to hang out with. The MTV official also went on to say that at the heart of the hit show lies its ‘unique and genuine cast and Pauly D truly embodies both qualities.’ Chris Linn also added that the network officials are well aware of the fact that the viewers want to know more about his life away from the shore while adding that MTV is looking forward to ‘exploring new possibilities around that.’

In the month of September this year, it was reported that Pauly D has landed his new spin-off show with the MTV while rumors were abuzz that he was busy filming his pilot episode. However, back then, the ‘Jersey Show’ star had been tight-lipped about the matter.
