Dec.19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Jersey Shore”, the latest reality show on MTV has created quite a buzz after a clip of the show was released, that showed one of the main characters in the program Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi getting punched by a New York based gym teacher Brad Ferro. Although, MTV had initially planned to air the much talked scene, later decided against it anticipating that it might led to further controversy.

In the controversial scene, Snookie gets into an altercation with Brad Ferro, a physical health teacher of Middle Village and North Queens Community High School, involving a drink. However, the fight takes a nasty turn when the teacher hits Snookie really hard in the face, which results in the female cast member toppling to the floor. He was later taken into custody and was found guilty of the charges.

Meanwhile, it has revealed that considering the disturbing and violent nature of the scene, MTV took the decision of chopping the scene off from the episode. Moreover, the much talked about scene grabbed a lot of negative attention as the network had decided earlier that scene would be aired and a note against violence would be added to avoid any criticisms.

Meanwhile, many critics are also claiming that the buzz surrounding the scene was an attempt to boast the ratings of the show, which has escalated considerably after the controversy emerged. Although, viewers missed the opportunity of viewing the much talked about scene in the network, they are catching up the Snookie getting punched scene in videos which are available online.
