ron1Dec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Though hit television reality series “Jersey Shore” season 2 saw its finale few months ago, the favorite guidos and guidettes never seem to go out of the limelight. “Jersey Shore” guido Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Ortiz-Magro has been indicted on one count of third degree assault as he knocked a man out while filming the season 2 of the series. Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Ortiz-Magro was arrested on September 2009 for punching a man Stephen Izzo. Though the brawl was not shown in the reality show, the guido was seen talking about it.

The New Jersey grand jury said that Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Ortiz-Magro knowingly and purposely punched Stephen Izzo and caused his bodily harm and significant injury. The eyewitnesses said that the man lost his consciousness after Ronald Ortiz-Magro struck him with his closed fist. The law enforcement officials said that if convicted the “Jersey Shore” star might have to spend five years in prison. Ronald Ortiz-Magro, who was previously arrested for his disorderly conduct was unavailable for any comments.

However, the prosecutors said that they hope that they would resolve the case without any indictment. Eugene Laverne, the attorney of Stephen Izzo told a reputed media source that he is perplexed as he still cannot understand why this indictment took about 16 months. The attorney said that Ronald Ortiz-Magro committed the crime in front of everyone and millions of viewers witnessed the incident on the show. “Jersey Shore” guido Ronni is scheduled to appear on court for his pre arraignment hearing on January, next year. His representative reportedly said that this news comes as a complete shock to him and his client and presently Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Ortiz-Magro’s attorney’s are in contact with the prosecutors’ office.
