shoreJuly 20,(THAINDIAN NEWS) There is some bad news for all the ardent fans of the popular MTV show “Jersey Shore”. If recent reports are to be believed then the cast members of the hit show have gone on a strike after they were dissatisfied with the terms of their contract. It has been reported that the cast of the popular MTV reality series refused to shoot for the show as they demanded a pay hike from the current $10,000 that is paid to them for every episode that they appear in.

The filming of the new season of “Jersey Shore” was scheduled to start from Sunday at Seaside Heights but things failed to go as planned as the cast members comprising of JWoww, Ronnie, Sammi, Pauly D and Vinny refused to shoot any scenes as they were not happy with the deal given to them by the network. A source is reported to have revealed that the entire standoff between the cast members and the producers began as the cast believes that they can earn more money from public appearances than the show, as per the terms of the contract.

According to reports, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi are expected to resume shooting for the reality series which makes it unclear whether they are still involved in the standoff. Mike Sorrentino, is reported to have signed a new contract with the network as per which he is likely to receive a huge increment depending on the ratings of the third season of the reality series.
