Conan O Brien New York City, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Conan O’Brien might be out of ‘The Tonight Show’ soon, as there is mounting speculation that Jerry Seinfeld is set to replace Conan O’Brien on ‘The Tonight Show’. This is because Conan O’Brien’s ratings have been steadily slipping in the recent months, and NBC has now been forced to take some drastic steps to rectify the situation.

Conan O’Brien had taken over the hosting duties from Jay Leno in June itself, and now his throne seems to have a new occupant soon.

According to reports, the NBC executives are trying to get another hot-happening-&-funny guy to be the host who can make the show popular again. And there are unconfirmed reports that Jerry Seinfeld is being roped in for the show. He earlier had a hit show on NBC for 9 years.
A source says, “NBC just can’t carry on like this. ‘The Tonight Show’ has lost 52 percent of its viewership in just one year. The November ratings will be the show’s lowest in 15 years. They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation.”

It may be recalled that “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” host Conan O’Brien was injured in September, when he was shooting a stunt for the show. O’Brien was hurt while he was running down a flight of stairs as part of a skit being taped for Friday night’s show. He rose to fame as the host of NBC’s show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 1993 to 2009. Prior to his hosting career, O’Brien was a writer for Saturday Night Live and the famous animated series The Simpsons.
