Jerry Hall to sell nude Lucian Freud portrait to put Jagger past to rest
September 6th, 2010 - 6:09 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sept 6 (ANI): Model/actress Jerry Hall is set to sell a nude portrait of herself that Lucian Freud had painted while she was eight months pregnant, in an effort to put her past with ex-husband Mick Jagger to rest.
Hall, 54, will sell a collection of her paintings at Sotheby’s next month, as well as work by her friend Andy Warhol and an oil painting by Frank Auerbach which is expected to fetch up to 900,000 pounds.
The nude picture, entitled ‘Eight Months Gone’, was painted during Hall’s last pregnancy in 1997, when she was pregnant with her fourth child, Gabriel, the Telegraph reported.
It is expected to sell for 400,000 pounds at auction on October 15 to 16.
Besides the paintings, Hall has also written an autobiography detailing her time with the Rolling Stones member. (ANI)
