Los Angeles, July 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Jeremy Renner is in talks with producers to take up a role in an upcoming WikiLeaks film. It may be recalled that WikiLeaks was in the news recently for leaking confidential government documents. After that, they came in the limelight for all the wrong reasons when their founder Julian Assange was caught up in a sex scandal.

DreamWorks has tried to lure the actor with the role of Julian Assange and 41 years old Jeremy is yet to give them the nod. DreamWorks is also trying to bring director Bill Condon onboard the project. There are also rumors that instead of a big production house, the film could be privately financed.

DreamWorks has obtained the movie rights to two controversial books about WikiLeaks - ‘Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World’s Most Dangerous Website’ by Daniel Domscheit-Berg and ‘WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War on Secrecy’, which is written by David Leigh and Luke Harding.

WikiLeaks seems like a hot topic as many production houses like HBO, Universal have a film or documentary on the hot topic in the pipeline.
