June 25, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Jeremy London, the 37 year old, TV actor, had been in news earlier this month when he escaped from his kidnapper. The police have traced the culprit now and have identified him as Brandon Adams, who is 26 years of age. He has been accused of kidnapping, assault, robbery and stealing of cars along with other charges.

The police in Palm Springs did not entirely believe the story of kidnapping as reported by London. The TV star who rose to fame with parts in the shows ‘Party of Five’ and ‘7th Heaven’, had reported that he had been nabbed while he had been busy changing the flat tire of his car. He was then reportedly made to drive around for five hours. He also said that there had been several men involved and he had been forced to buy alcohol and smoke addictive drugs at the point of gun. Jeremy London, who had also starred in Carrie, a supernatural thriller, has a record of drug abuse.

This in itself was unbelievable because the idea of kidnapers sharing their dope and forcing their victim to smoke seems unbelievable. London had, in fact, been arrested before for driving on an invalid license. He was also found to be in possession of certain controlled substances then. He is also said to have a history of trouble with prescription drugs. The addiction had to be treated by moving into a rehab. Jeremy is currently in the middle of a messy divorce proceeding with his estranged wife, Melissa Cunningham, an actor in her own right.

Adams, is currently being housed at the Larry D. Smith correctional facility located at California. A bail amount of $500,000 has been set by the court. The other offenders are absconding.
