June 19, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American actor Jeremy London is again in the news and this time also for using illegal drugs. But, as the actor said, he was forced by some criminals to do so.

Earlier, in 2004, Jeremy was charged for possessing drugs and addictive prescription pills. However, for that he had been into rehab last year.

The former star of 7th Heaven was reportedly kidnapped by the criminals and they made him perform many illegal acts at gunpoint.

According to a statement of Jeremy to police, when he was changing a flat tire on Friday, several men approached him and helped in changing the tire. Then he offered them a ride home.

The police said, “After some time, they held him at gunpoint in the car and forced him to drive through various locations of the city. He was made to buy alcohol and use illicit drugs.”

As per the police, London was forced to smoke, which could be amphetamines or crack cocaine. He was even afraid of being killed.

However, the 37 year old actor managed to escape the vehicle somehow. Later, his vehicle was found in a residential area of Palm Springs and the police arrested a suspect.

A 26-year-old Palm Springs man named Brian Adams was charged with kidnapping, owning stolen property, vehicle stealing and carjacking in this case, police said.

Jeremy London started his acting career with the TV show ‘I’ll Fly Away’ as Nathan Bedford, which he earned in 1991 after his twin brother, Jason London, refused to do it.
