Los Angeles, Apr 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 37 year-old actress, comedian and former “Playboy” magazine model Jenny McCarthy has ended her relationship with Jim Carrey. Both the celebrities declared their decision to split through a social networking website. The news of their split was also confirmed by the publicist of Jim Carrey, Marleah Leslie who released a statement for the media sources.

On Tuesday afternoon, both the stars tweeted the news on “twitter”. The news came first from actor Jim Carrey who tweeted that the couple had ended their five year-old relationship. However, it seemed that the split was brought about after an amicable consent of both the partners, as Jim Carrey went on to mention that he is grateful for the blessings that he had shared for years with the actress. He wished her all the luck in her life ahead. The confirmation of the news from Jenny McCarthy came within half an hour of Jim Carrey’s tweet. The actress reported the same news and thanked her former partner for the moments they have shared together. She had also said that though they have decided to split, she would remain committed to Jane, the daughter of Jim Carrey, from his first marriage. She also mentioned that Jim Carrey will always hold a special place in her heart.

The former couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy had made many public appearances together. They started dating each other since 2005 and since then were considered as one of the steady couple in the celebrity circle. However, during an interview last November, the actress reportedly mentioned that she has no plans of getting married but maintained that she is deeply in love with Jim Carrey.
