Oct 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Jennifer Love Hewitt, the star is soon to appear in the much popular telly show Law and Order, as a victim, named Vicki.

In the SUV, she appears as a woman who had to bear the humiliation of being raped by a man for almost a decade and above, which traumatized her physically and mentally.She has changed her look completely,wardrobe, hairstyle et al. This SVU, is sure to be an inspiration for many such victims, still stranded.

The episode titled Behave, has her case taken up by detective Beson, played by Mariska Hargitay, who happens to open up a file on the rape victims, who have their case registered, but they are lost amidst the utter burden of thousands of pending cases.

Even though the entire series has many actors playing the victimized parts, this one on rape victims is especially significant to Jennifer because she has her own foundation, called the ‘Joyful Heart Foundation’.

The foundation, which has an aim of helping rape victims and restore their lives back into the mainstream of public life, is a much appreciated effort by many folk in the industry, as well as outside it.

The mention of the backlog of files regarding the rape victims was done recently by Jennifer, in front of some authoritative people, and the film maker Neal Baer, is said to have become inspired by the astounding facts during the ‘Fund raising’, campaign for the foundation.

Well, with such good deeds, it must be mentioned that the efforts of Jennifer are not going down the drain at all.
