Los Angeles, Apr 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jennifer Love Hewitt showed off her new hairdo to the world, when she went shopping in Beverly Hills. It is being termed as her ‘breakup hairdo’, since just last month she broke up with her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy. They were dating for around a year, but broke off last month, but still continue to be co-stars on the CBS’s ‘Ghost Whisperer’. Jennifer says that even though both of them called off their relationship, yet they are still friends, and the breakup has been amicable and fine.

About her new hairdo, she said that, “I needed to feel lighter! We just finished season five of [Ghost Whisperer], and I was just ready for a change.” She however flatly refused to label it as a ‘post-breakup’ hairdo. She claimed that she had cut her hair prior to the breakup. But since she was in the midst of her shooting schedule, so in order to maintain the continuity of the series, she had to sport her normal hairstyle with the help of add-ons.

Jennifer Love Hewitt clarified that, “I actually cut my hair before. It’s just that I had to have long hair on the show, so I’d already done the haircut and we were just clipping in some pieces to keep it going. I just happened to finish filming and unveiled the haircut around the same time as the unveiling of the other news so now it’s become my ‘breakup haircut.’”
