Los Angeles, Mar 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jennifer Lopez’s latest single ‘On The Floor’ was nearly a flop because no radio station wanted to play the song. Latest reports on the Internet reveal that radio stations were not ready to play the song when it came out.

The number one concern of the radio stations was the fact that Lopez has not made any hit for eight straight years. They wanted the song to in a way ‘prove itself’ before they would risk playing it. The ‘American Idol’ judge seems to have bounced back.

‘On The Floor’ is currently sitting at the top on iTunes and is currently 9th on the Billboard chart. The song’s controversial part though is the fact that is sounds strikingly similar to Kat DeLuna’s ‘Party O’Clock’. Some analysts believe that if there is anything that the controversy has done then it has certainly made the song more popular.

In between the period that the singer made a hit and now, Jennifer Lopez has suffered some of the worse setbacks in her career. In 2005, her album, ‘Rebirth’, did very badly. ‘Brave’ two years later was much worse because the song failed to spark.
