Aug 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The speculations about which celebrities would fill in the vacant seat of the judges on the highly popular singing reality show on Fox “American Idol” has been ripe lately. Although it is confirmed that the musical reality show would be commencing its tenth season early next year, it still remains unclear who would be seen evaluating the musical talents of participants of the show in the upcoming segment. Several names have been popping out since chat show host Ellen DeGeneres announced her departure from the program few days ago. The names includes Elton John, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, Justin Timberlake, among others. However, one of the names that has been successful in creating quite a stir is that of Jennifer Lopez.

If rumors are to be believed then the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer has already signed a contract with Fox network which finalizes her appearance in the show as a judge. However, any official confirmation from the network or the producers of the show has not been forthcoming as yet. A news source has recently reported that the makers of the show have zeroed on Jennifer Lopez and the Aerosmith frontman as the new judges who would be joining Randy Jackson in the judges table from the next season.

Meanwhile, Nigel Lythgoe who rejoined the Fox reality series as the executive producer is reported to have shown preference for these three judges amidst claims that the makers of “American Idol” intend to go back to the earlier format which included only three judges in the panel.
