Nov 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was a dream come true for “Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey as she was crowned the winner of Season 11 of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.” Despite her several injuries the actress managed to beat out her fellow contestants Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin and won the much coveted mirror-ball trophy. Last night all the previous contestants graced the D-day to perform once more one the stage and even the finalists danced for one last time on the prestigious stage.

When the hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke announced the name of the winner, the audience applauded and cheered for Jennifer Grey and her professional partner Derek Hough. On the finale episode, Jennifer Grey managed to secure a perfect score from the judges for her outstanding performance and even judge Bruno Tonioli told her that she is heading for the mirror ball trophy. Derek Hough, who became the first professional partner to win three mirror-ball trophies hoisted the coveted trophy above Jennifer Grey’s head and said, “We did It!”. Kyle Massey and his professional partner Lacey Schwimmer came second in the show. On the other hand, much controversies regarding Bristol Palin ended when she came third. However, Bristol Plain received a standing ovation from the crowd for her efforts on the show.

Jennifer Grey was in tears when the hosts of “Dancing with the Stars” and she said that she was “glad” to be part of the show. For Derek Hough “Dancing with the Stars” season 11 has been an incredible journey that he would never forget. On the other hand, though Bristol Palin was disappointed, however she said that the whole show was a “life changing” experience for her.
