Aug 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the die-hard fans of Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston have something to look out for this weekend as the latest flick starring the “Friends” star was released in theaters across the United States on August 20. The anticipation surrounding the Josh Gordon and Will Speck directed movie had been running quite high among the ardent followers of the “Bruce Almighty” star who had been waiting eagerly to catch her latest romantic-comedy flick.

The rom-com movie which has also been executive produced by Jennifer Aniston tells the story of a 40-year-old New York based television producer played by the “Friends’ star who decides to welcome a baby in her life but refuses to go by the conventional means of getting married. In order to fulfill her desire, the protagonist turns to a sperm donor Roland played by Patrick Wilson. However, the story takes a rather interesting turn when her best friend Wally gets so intoxicated at the ‘insemination party’ that he accidentally replaces Roland’s sperm with his own. Although the premise of the story has been found to be quite entertaining by some, the critics have not been kind to the latest Jennifer Aniston release, many of whom have reiterated that “The Switch” has nothing new to offer to the audiences.

The romantic-comedy flick which is based on the short story “Baster” penned by Jeffrey Eugenides has only received mixed reviews while most of the critics have been scathing in their reviews saying that the flick fails to live up to the expectations as the turn of events becomes unpredictable in more occasions than one.
