Aug 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Apart from the R word controversy, Jennifer Aniston has made headlines after she was found to be one of the many high profile celebrity victims of a credit card scam from celebrity hair salon Chez Gabriela Studio in Beverly Hills. The owner of the salon, Maria Gabriella Perez was arrested for defrauding high profiled celebrity clients who were regulars at her parlor. Other than Jennifer Aniston, the high profiled celebrities, who were made poorer by thousands of dollars are Cher, Anne Hathaway and Melanie Griffith, Liv Tyler, to name a few.

The former “Friends” star has strongly criticized the owner in one of her interviews in “Good Morning America”. The actress said that the situation was not so “cool” and she stopped going to the parlor long ago. The media reports that “The Good Girl” actress had a tiff with Maria Gabriella Perez five years ago and hence the actress stopped visiting the parlor. Jennifer Aniston also added that she knew that something like this would eventually happen because one cannot get away with such swindling for a long period of time. However, the actress did not mention how much she has been ripped off but she mentioned that her loss was not to the “extent” that other celebrity clients of Chez Gabriela Studio had faced.

The media reports that Chez Gabriela Studio owner, Maria Gabriella Perez has been convicted with two counts of fraud and if found guilty, she could face up to 25 years in prison. The media was startled to see the court documents which show $214,000 false charges was allegedly made by the salon to the actress’s two credit cards between June and November 2009. However, the studio owner’s attorney has denied the charges against his client saying that Maria Gabriella Perez is “innocent” and she runs a “legitimate” business.
