May 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jennifer Lyon, better known as Jen Lyon to close friends and family sadly passed away on the 19th of January this year. Though the television star was suffering from breast cancer for quite a few years then, her death came as a shock to the other contestants of the American TV show “Survivor” for which she was already shooting at the time of her death. Hence the organizers decided to dedicate the final episode of “Survivor” titled “Heroes vs.Villains” to pay homage to their loved ex-contestant.

This finale episode of season 4 of popular reality TV show “Survivor” presented a video montage on stage in the honor of Jenn Lyon. This episode went on air on the 16th of May this Sunday and considering that it was a weekend presentation, the show surely captured many an eyeball.

Jenn Lyon was detected with breast cancer in the year 2005 and since that day to the day of her death this year, she had undergone mastectomy and chemotherapy treatments after it was reported that her cancer had reached its third stage. However doctors were not able to save the star and Jenn Lyon died very early at the age of only 37.

According to sources close to the TV star, Jenn Lyon had a pleasing personality, she was always helpful and tried her best to look after the people around her. After her death she has been missed by many, particularly by the crew of “Survivors”, a show in which she had held one of the four top positions. The May 16th episode was a fitting tribute in the memory of Jenn Lyon.
