Jeffrey Jones arrested for not updating his sex-offender status

Los Angeles, July 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood actor Jeffrey Jones has been arrested again for his sexual misdemeanors. The actor shot to prominence for the role he played in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Jones played Dean Ed Rooney in that film and many movie fans had no idea that the actor was a sexual offender to boot.

He has been arrested and charged with one count of felony, after he failed to update his sex offender status. As required by law, a sex offender is supposed to update his sex offender registration status within five days of his or her last birthday.

It ought to be mentioned that the actor was first arrested in 2003, when he got a 14-year-old teen boy and took sexually explicit pictures of him. He admitted the offence in court and was sentenced to 5 years probation and forced to undergo counseling. Then later Jones was also arrested in 2004, after he refused to declare his change of address to authorities.

He was arrested again on June 23, ten months after his last birthday, which occurred on September 28th. He is presently lodged on a $20,000 bail and has also made no comments about his arrest.

He last starred in Who’s Your Caddy in 2007.
