jonJuly 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” famed star Jeffrey Jones on Wednesday was charged with a single count of felony after the police found that he had failed to update his registration as a sex offender in the state of California. The actor was required by the law to update his registration within five days of his last birthday on Sep 28, 2009. However, he was arrested by the police last week reportedly on suspicion that he had failed to register himself as a sex offender.

The 63-year-old actor back in the year 2003 was arrested for inducing a 14-year-old minor boy to pose naked in front of camera at his Hollywood Hills house. The boy who was recognized in front of the court as Steven C. was paid twice to go nude.

He was asked to wear cowboy hats and pose with stuffed animals in sexually explicit photographs. In court Jeffrey Jones pleaded no contest in the case and was ordered by the court to register himself as a sex offender. He was also put in five years probation along with a mandatory counseling.

However, this is not for the first time that the actor who is best known for his portrayal of the character of the dean of students, Edward R. Rooney in the 1986 film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” has offended the police. He was arrested back in 2004 when he failed to register himself as a sex offender in the state.

On Wednesday neither Jeffrey Jones nor his lawyer was available for comments. As per reports the star is due to appear in court on July 14.
