jeffLos Angeles, Aug 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Here is double good news for “Shark Tank” fanatics. The ABC is not only going for a second season of the business-reality series “Shark Tank”, but has also decided to include comedian Jeff Foxworthy as one of the members of the judging panel. The news was announced in front of the media sources on Tuesday. Jeff Foxworthy will be seen in the judging panel for three episodes in the second season of the show which will most likely hit the screen next year. The channel is yet to decide the date of its premiere.

Although the choice of Jeff Foxworthy has surprised many, the channel has its own reasons to include him in the panel. The ABC has pointed out that it has decided to include Jeff Foxworthy as a judge because the comedian not only has a line of beef jerky and BBQ sauces under his belt, but also been successfully able to expand his comedy career to books, albums and television shows. Jeff Foxworthy is known famously for hosting “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader”.

As for the second season of “Shark Tank”, ABC is going for eight hours total for the show. The production is due to resume in the fall of 2010. According to sources, the second season will have all the five Sharks from the first season. Fans will get to see technology expert Robert Herjavec, real-estate queen Barbara Corcoran, fashion owner Daymond John, Kevin Harrington the infomercial pioneer and financial expert Kevin O’Leary. However, it seems that all eyes are now set on Jeff Foxworthy and those three episodes where he would be seen in a different role.
