Dec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Saturday Night Live” turned out to be a truly entertaining last night as renowned actor Jeff Bridges hosted the event and legendary rap singer Lil Wayne and Eminem joined the show as musical guests. The “Tron” actor is presently basking high with the success of his new movie “True Grit”. Jeff Bridges looked commendable and while he was delivering his monologue, Cookie monster sang “Silver Bells” in the background.
The audience was entertained with the double doze of hip hop. The “Lollipop” singer looked good in a white T-shirt and black pants and “Slim Shady” star rocked in gray beanie and brown jacket. The duo at first sang “No Love” which was backed by the live band on the sets. While Lil Wayne sang the first verse and Eminem sang the latter, the performance was full of energy and it surely swept the audience off their feet. Eminem then sang “Won’t Back Down” and Weezy performed his newly released hit “6 foot 7 foot”. This was Lil Wayne’s first on-screen performance after his prison sentence. The “Young Money” owner and Eminem then entertained the audience with some their other hits.
Akon also featured in a small sketch along with the gorgeous Jessica Alba while Blake Lively made some small cameo. One of the most hilarious part of the show was the parody of teen sensation Miley Cyrus’ bong video scandal. However, over all “Saturday Night Live”, like always, managed to tickle the funny bones of the audience with its never ending satires, parodies and sketches. Veteran actor Jeff Bridges managed to live up to the expectations of the audience with his performance and gigs.
