Jean Claude Van Damme To Take Part In Kickboxing Challenge

Jan 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Those who love watching Hollywood hardcore action movies swear by the movies starring actor Jean Claude Van Damme. He is not your regular actor but his action flicks are much sought after even after decades of their release. He is one of the actors who brought martial arts to mainstream action movies of Hollywood. The veteran actor who is now 49 will soon be talking part in a challenging kickboxing competition with a Thai Boxer.
His opponent is 13 years younger than him. Besides, the boxer has the experience of participating in more than 300 fights. However, these facts are not being taken seriously by the daredevil actor who has performed several death defying stunts in his hit action flicks in the past. The fight will take place in Macau, China. As per the reports, the Belgian actor is busy filming an exciting reality series. The actor said in a recent statement that he wants to enjoy life to the hilt till he is healthy.
The ‘BloodSport’ star started his career by learning karate in Belgium and became a pro in the game in the 1980s. However, after his stint with Hollywood, life took a different turn for him. He still likes the thrill associated with kickboxing and karate. This is what has prompted him to make a comeback to the ring. The match between the actor and his opponent Somluck Kamsing, a former medalist in Olympics will be played in MuayThai format. The fans of the actor will be waiting for this face-off for sure.
