May 10, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The golden lady of television, Betty White, was the host of the program, ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL), for the initial time on Saturday in the previous weekend. The program has been reported to be an immensely successful one with respect to the ratings. SNL is the live program for NBC that has been functioning for an enormous amount of time.

The musical guest in the program was the rapper, Jay-Z, who bequeathed a terrific performance on two occasions. Jay-Z, at the beginning, presented an eight minute assortment of his songs, counting ‘On To The Next One’, ‘99 Problems’, ‘03 Bonnie & Clyde’, etc. The assortment finished up with his wonderful mark of respect to New York, ‘Empire State of Mind’, which is his song recorded with Alicia Keys. In the program, SNL, delivering the rendition instead of Keys was his vocalist on tour, Bridget Kelly.

For his second emergence, Jay-Z enacted a version of the ‘Forever Young’, which consisted of Mr. Hudson, a British R &B singer .Towards the end of the song, Jay-Z devoted it to the ageless host, Betty White. The dedication of the song to Betty White by Jay-Z was totally unanticipated.

The Golden Girls megastar, Betty White, was requested to host SNL after a viral movement was initiated on Facebook in favor of Betty White hosting SNL. This movement procured virtually 500,000 supporters.

Though White commenced her glorious acting career way back in 1939, the expert actress confessed a few days back that the unexpected concentration that she was obtaining owing to SNL was a tad terrifying and it had made her fidgety.
