Javier Bardem may star in Pancho Villa biopic
February 7th, 2009 - 2:26 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Feb 7 (ANI): Hollywood actor Javier Bardem is likely to play the role of Pancho Villa in the biopic of the Mexican revolutionary.
Serbian director Emir Kusturica is busy writing a screenplay for the project and is keen to cast the Spanish Oscar winner in the film.
The screenplay of the film is being written under the working title Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman with Six Fingers, - based on James Carlos Blake’’s novel The Friends of Pancho Villa.
“I hope we are going to have a chance to talk with him (Bardem) soon, but his involvement is not confirmed yet,” Contactmusic quoted Kusturica as telling Variety.
The shooting is scheduled to begin in Mexico in late 2009/early. (ANI)
