Jason Mraz splits with Tristan Prettyman
June 9th, 2011 - 1:50 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop singer Jason Mraz has told reporters that he has called off his engagement to fellow singer Tristan Prettyman. The pair got engaged last December but during an interview with The Daily Beast, Jason revealed that the two have realized that the relationship will not work.
The 33-year-old said he feels sad following the split. He said that, “My greatest mistake right now is, I’ve been clinging to my art. In that, I have victory for my art and a great loss for my heart. At the moment, my beautiful fiancée is no longer my beautiful fiancée.”
According to him the relationship was going on because he was the only person who wanted it to work. He revealed that it is not possible for one person to make a relationship work. He believes that his commitment was the reason why the relationship was still working saying he became “less of a man” in the process.
Jason is still a good friend to Tristan saying that the two go to yoga classes together. The “I’m Yours” hitmaker admitted at a point in the interview that he will need to heal himself after the experience with Tristan.
The relationship between Jason and Tristan was at best described as rocky.
