London, Nov 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jason Gardiner has revealed that he was mugged by two robbers in London on Sunday. The Dancing on Ice judge revealed that his attackers were “hooded black youths.”

Shortly after the incident, Gardiner wrote on his Twitter page that, “Tonight I was mugged by two hooded black youths in Stockwell who held a knife to my throat and threatened to kill me all for an iPhone!!…Apart from being shaken I’m fine! I’m saddened more than anything and disgusted with where our society is heading (sic).”

Gardiner has been criticized for using the word “black” to describe his attackers. Critics say it was not necessary to mention the race of the attackers arguing that if they had been white, he will not have done so.

Gardiner responded to those who claim he shouldn’t have mentioned the race of his attackers. The top TV judge tweeted that he gave that detail because it was “vital” and could lead to the arrest of the criminals.

There were other tweets which supported Gardiner for identifying the race of his attackers.

Gardiner revealed that the incident happened at Stockwell and his iPhone was stolen by the robbers who threatened to kill him with the knife that they were holding.
