Los Angeles, Apr 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After Tuesday night’s Lennon/ McCartney Songbook round which saw some of the unique performances till date on “American Idol” by singers like Casey James and Crystal Bowersox on Wednesday night, it was turn for the selection of the top eight. However, with every passing week not only the excitement but also the anxiety regarding the elimination is increasing as every contestant is trying to put his/ her best on the floor. To make the teary elimination round on Wednesday more interesting, there was a star performance by Jason Derulo who had released his self titled debut album this March. His performance in the show was appreciated by all the judges and even by Simon Cowell.

Jason Derulo turned up for the show wearing a studded jacket and sang songs from the self titled album which he has released recently. Jason Derulo sang “In My Head” and “Whatcha Say”. Not only did the singer put on display his vocal skill but also jazzed up his performance on stage by brilliant dance steps. His performance was impressive and appreciated by the judges.

Kara DioGuardi went on to praise the singer and songwriter. She said that Jason Derulo is an incredible songwriter and that she is proud of him. The performance of Jason Derulo also won accolades from Simon Cowell who otherwise is critical about most performances. Simon Cowell seemed to be enjoying the performance of Jason Derulo as he was seen bobbing his head. Viewers too enjoyed the elimination round episode on Wednesday, as the song and dance performance was able to balance the otherwise serious elimination round.
