September 1, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The popular SAB TV guarantees to make “Janmashtami’ celebrations a charming watch for the viewers from across the nation. Shows like “Papad Pol’, “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah’ and “Lapataganj’ will celebrate “Janmashtami’ with lots of loyalty, fun and pleasure.

‘Papad Pol’ will air an hour long special episode on 3rd September from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. The show will have a fancy dress competition that would take place amidst 5 Pols. Last year, Ameri Pol had beaten the Papad Pol. Thus, Papad Pol residents have taken the decision that they wouldn’t participate this year but, upon Kokila’s persistence they give it another shot. Thus the preparations commence along with dress trials, rehearsals and a plethora of backstage drama. Ami Trivedi who plays the character of Kokila Parikh said that Lord Krishna, has always been her favorite and playing Radha, Krishna’s muse gave him a different kind of feeling.

“Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah’ has splendid plans to celebrate Janmashtami on its sets. At the Gokuldham society a small feud sparks between the men and the women folks. The women all are angry with the men and decide to showcase woman power. To do this, a competitive spirit of Janmashtami is called in to the play to prove who is better.

“Lapataganj’ at 10 p.m. airs on Tuesday, Wednesday and even on Thursday. This is yet another show that would gain the essence of the festival of Janmashtami. The tale of Lord Krishna right from his birth is being narrated where Mamaji starts drawing similarities between the evil Kans and him and Biji and Lord Krishna.
