Nov. 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Janet Jackson arrived at the American Music Awards in a pair of brown suede boots and a buckskin outfit and a pair of metallic shoulder pads. Her performance was mostly a tribute to her late brother, and a very moving one too. Thankfully, despite her relatively low cut dress, there were no repetitions of the wardrobe malfunction disaster from a few years back. Her performance was mostly a tribute to her late brother that included copying the moves Michael used to do on stage.

Janet performed on a lot of the hit songs from her career. She performed the numbers ranging from the soulful “Miss You Much” to the wacky “Control”. She also performed her latest number “Make Me”, a lot reminiscent of her brother’s famous “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough.” Her performance on the last number was the best among all. She choreographed the number into a fun and entertaining disco jam that kept the audience grooving to it’s beats. Once, she even did Micheal’s trademark crotch-grabbing move.

Janet got to kick off the show with her punch packed performance. There was no doubt that the crowd loved her, judging from the cheers she got from the members of the audience, where sat the likes of Jermaine Jackson and the Black Eyed Peas. It must have been a really really emotional few moments for the Jackson 5 as they watched the singer recreate the magic their brother stopped weaving only a few days back. Janet Jackson brought her performance to an end amidst cheers from the audience, with a touching rendition of “Together Again.”
