janet1Nov. 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems to be splitsville for the celebrity couple of Janet Jackson and [now former] boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. The pop star has confirmed the news of the recent break-up while making an appearance on ABC network’s “Good Morning America”, with host Robin Roberts. This most certainly comes to everyone as a shock, as the couple have been to be together for well over seven years and were said to be very much in love with each other, [to the extent of appearing inseparable].

The 43 year old Janet Jackson stated candidly on the show, “Jermaine is one of my best friends. I adore him. I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.” Speaking in her usually mild tones and manner, she said that a reconciliation with her former Atlanta Super producer boyfriend [after the recent split] was completely out of the picture and they would only remain friends, as they are being now. She however did not specify any reason that led to the break-up.

The turbulence in the couples’ relationship had come to the forefront about the time when Janet’s superstar brother, the king of pop- Michael Jackson had passed away. Jermaine Dupri was very consciously absent from the entire memorial services that the Jackson family and close ones attended, following the tragic death. Though the split was once confirmed in the month of September, the couple were spotted together once more after that, fuelling rumors of a patch-up. However, now with the official confirmation coming from Janet herself, it appears that the relationship has finally fallen apart.
